Ultimately, Butter & Borough began in my mother's kitchen, where my earliest and most enduring culinary memories are rooted. From a young age, I followed closely at her heels, soaking in the rhythms and rituals of Southern cooking. In our home, food was an act of love, and hospitality was not complete until your guests were leaning back in their chairs, sighing with satisfaction, and thankful they wore stretchy pants. That philosophy, the idea that food can and should be deeply satisfying, emotionally grounding, and generously shared, continues to define my culinary ethos. I created Butter & Borough to serve people the way I was taught to at home: with generosity, warmth, and a little bit of indulgence.
